Ivory Six - Fairhaven Multi-Family Residential

Alpine Engineering provided civil engineering in support of a new six-unit townhome project on Old Fairhaven Parkway in Bellingham, WA. The civil engineering design incorporated low impact development (LID) stormwater elements such as pervious concrete and bioretention for onsite stormwater treatment. The site had space challenges and required an underground, reinforced concrete vault design to attenuate stormwater volume runoff to meet Washington Department of Ecology and City of Bellingham minimum requirements for stormwater volume control.

The project also was required to provide right of way improvements, including pervious concrete public parking, stormwater management, a sidewalk, new paving and landscaping. Our work involved permitting support and consultation with the City of Bellingham’s Public Works Department and Building Department.
