Machine-installed screw piles used for hillside home addition

Alpine Engineering provided the structural design services that were needed to renovate and add onto this hillside home, which is located in the South Hill area of Bellingham, Washington.

Low Impact Design (LID) stormwater practices were used as a way to retain stormwater onsite to the maximum extent practicable. Pervious paver driveway design and infiltration trenches aided

An old addition was removed, which created space for new two-story add-on: 994 square feet of heated living space (upper level), plus 600 square feet of unheated garage space (lower level, slab on grade).

This project was previously featured in an article about how to choose the right pile installations earlier in 2020. Our construction industry experience and professional engineering services helped set this residential construction project up for success by providing a reliable foundation system to build upon.
